Worship Experience
What’s the Worship Experience Like at Flint Bethel UMC?
At Bethel United Methodist Church, worship is an experience of connection, inspiration, and community. Our services are designed to deepen faith and provide a welcoming space where people of all backgrounds can come together to grow spiritually. With a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, our worship celebrates God’s presence and engages each heart and mind. Whether you’re joining us for Sunday worship, a midweek gathering, or a special event, we invite you to be part of an uplifting journey that renews the spirit and strengthens our bonds with God and each other.
What is the music like? We have contemporary praise and worship. Services generally last 1:30 (one hour and 30 minutes).
What do I do with my baby? You can have your baby in service with you or take advantage of our nursery room in the Education wing near the Commons. If your baby needs you during the service, we will send someone to the sanctuary to get you.
Where do my children go? We have a vibrant children and teen area for your Kindergarten through 12th grade children to enjoy. Before service starts, they can pass the time playing games and then enjoy interactive, high-energy lessons teaching them the basics of God’s Word.
What is in store for my teenagers? In addition to Sunday morning Sunday School, our teen group meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays from 3pm-5 for games, learning to live like Jesus, and growing together.
Where do I go? The Sunday morning service starts at 10:00 a.m. in the Bethel Church Sanctuary. Ushers and greeters are at nearly every entrance to direct you to where you need to go. The Adult Bible Study class begins at 10:45 a.m. and are located in the parlor.

Where do I park? We have a very large, security-patrolled lot behind the church building between Berkley and Wolcott Streets.
How often do you hold Communion? We celebrate Communion the first Sunday morning of every month.
Do you do water baptisms and baby dedications? Yes. We do each of these a few times a year as the need arises. Announcements are made for each in the church bulletin.
Where is the church’s lost and found located? Lost and found is located in the Church Office.
Is the church handicap accessible? Yes. There is plenty of reserved parking to the rear of the church. The sanctuary has seating available specifically for wheelchairs.
